The second message from visiting speaker Phil Brennan was on the structure of the tabernacle, specifically the boards or frames that held up the tabernacle and the linens that were in various parts of the tabernacle.

Phil continues to outline new testament truths that are applicable to our understanding of who Jesus is and how we relate to Him by drawing parallels from the old testament description of the tabernacle.

In this message Phil says,

If the scripture doesn’t say it then we musn’t say it!

so you can be sure that all the truths you find in this message are based on scriptural principles.

Have a listen below or download the message and listen to it on your ipod and if you have any questions, please send them to info@cogtoronto.ca.

Thanks for listening. Stay tuned for the next message in the series: Coverings Of The Tabernacle: The Curtains and Tent.

Do you live in Ontario and have or know a child who you would like to see go to camp and hear the gospel this summer? Good!

Thankfully as of this posting there is still room at Mount Forest Camp this summer.

Campers enjoy full days of activities, sports, swimming, crafts, a campfire every night and a Bible lesson every day – all in 100 acres of beautiful nature near Mount Forest, Ontario.

This year there are three types of camp to serve different ages of kids. They are: a day camp for local children aged 5-11, kids sleep over camp for children aged 8-13 and a teen camp for teens aged 14-19.

The experiences that your child has at camp will last with them for a lifetime. In fact, we hear new stories from past campers ranging back nearly fifty years at our Harvest Day reunion in the fall every year. So we know that going to camp makes a real difference in a young person’s life.

Mount Forest Camp has been run completely by volunteers since it was established in 1963! Many of the volunteers who staff the camp started out as campers themselves.

Camp is a special place where memories and friends are made, but more importantly it is a place where lives are changed when campers meet Jesus Christ, often for the first time.

Here are the dates and fees for the various camps this summer:

The Church of God in Toronto was pleased to welcome Phil Brennan, a full-time Bible teacher based at the Church of God in Buxton, England, for the month of May, 2011.

Tabernacle

Phil provided us with a series of talks on the Tabernacle, the dwelling place of God amongst the people of Israel whilst they journeyed in the wilderness en route to the Promised Land from Egypt.

Phil opened up to us how the design and contents of the Tabernacle speaks clearly and movingly as a picture of the work and person of Jesus.

The link to the first talk is below and we highly recommend you invest the time to download and listen to it or just listen to it direct on the site!

Over the next six weeks we will be posting the rest of Phil’s messages on the various aspects of the tabernacle. Stay tuned!

The Church of God on Toronto participated in a great weekend up in Mount Forest back in 2006. Brian Johnston from the Church of God in Leigh, England was our guest speaker on that occasion and he gave 4 talks with the overall theme of “Live Like You Believe It”.

Brian’s message made a deep impression on those who heard him. It is hard to believe that 5 years have now passed and it is probably a good time to refresh the memory or indeed hear these message for the first time. You can download the files or listen to them online – it is up to you!
